Red duck – shades of meaning

I was interested in how changing the colour of an image can effect mood and meaning. Turning the duck red – or a pale reddish brown – again made the image more subtle. It also obscured somewhat the giant styrofoam buoys that had been washed up by the ocean and almost made them look like giant eggs inside the duck. Red as a colour also carries the link to blood, and could be stretched to indicate the death of birdlife from entanglement in ocean rubbish such as netting, plastics etc.
